Restaurants near Headon Warren and West High Down

We booked a table for Saturday night at 6.30pm, we arrived about 10 mins early and was shown to our table immediately. we were offered their standard menu or a special set menu (with choices) as it was Burns Night (25th Jan). We both decided on the Burns Night menu, the food was excellent and the service was first class. Of particular note was the "Lamb Rump" it was cooked rare and it was just so tender and tasted amazing!

Brought my elderly mother here for her family birthday lunch. We all enjoyed it however in this instance the loud music and noise of all the people was a bit overwhelming for her. The food was very good, however with the side dishes etc it was on the pricy side.

This was my second visit in a week as I was on vacation staying at Elmers Court. Each time the food was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. the owner and chef, Gavin made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed meeting him listening to the back story of the restaurant. i would highly recommend this place for your "special evening"

Very welcoming staff and excellent food. Enjoyed sitting by the log fire with our drinks after ordering our food. Lovely bar area by the fire with wood panelling but spoilt by 3 pictures all the same but different colours. One with what seemed red blood painted dripping from the painting over the frame ! Rather destroyed the otherwise lovely ambience

Had to send my starter back as it wasn’t what was on the menu- scallops were with dry peas instead of a pea purée. Mains- salmon and chicken were really tasty for both of us were lovely. Service was excellent not intrusive, professional and attentive. Been before, will go again. Much better than the IVY!!!!
