Working with seasonal British and Italian produce, each dish takes inspiration from traditional Italian flavours and methods, with a creative approach. Transforming this daytime bakery to a lively neighbourhood restaurant, with small plates and pastas designed for sharing. Our wine list utilises a mixture of well and lesser known grapes; which when combined with innovative and often low intervention methods, create a diverse wine offering to pair harmoniously with our food. For any bookings over 6 people we require a set menu, contact bookings@pophamsbakery.com for more information.

After being a small takeaway for years and years, the people's favourite chicken restaurant, Peck Peck, has finally answered its customers prayers. Boasting over 35 covers, compared to our previous 8, we are serving up our incredible fried and grilled chicken in our all new spot on mare street, alongside draught beer and house cocktails. Relax in a booth and have your pint of local craft beer and impossibly delicious chicken burger brought over to your table! Buttermilk fried and piri-piri flame-grilled chicken, homemade sides, beer, wine, cocktails, desserts, all served up with a wicked soundtrack and friendly service. Oh, and a banging vegan menu! What's not to love?Being a 30 second walk from Hackney central station, we are a perfect meal before you catch a movie at Hackney picture house or a trip to Hackney empire. Also a perfect way to line your stomach before a night out at Night Tales or Oslo!

Inspired by yakitori izakayas, Big Night is going to be putting seasonal British-ish produce on sticks and cooking it on our charcoal grill. The food will be simple, loud and fun, perfect to be eaten with a beer in hand and friends at your side. The menu will draw on a variety of influences rather than pretending to adhere to the concept of an authentic cuisine (this is not a Japanese restaurant). With respect to traditions, we will be cooking with integrity and creativity with ingredients and flavours that we love and are passionate about, in a way that is innovative rather than traditional, and most importantly, tasty tasty delicious. We’re talking lamb hearts, smoked beetroots, pickled mussels, seasonal kimchis, miso banoffee. We want everyone to feel at home here, a place for people to come together, the tables will be communal, you'll be asking your neighbour to pass the chilli oil and cheersing the whole table with a round of shots and sauerkraut. See you soon x
