Chandler’s opened it’s doors in December of 1999 behind the historical Symons General Store building. It’s a cozy place with only 50 seats in the main dining room & 10 seats at the bar. When real estate is too tough to find - it’s standing room only! For a change of scenery, guests can enjoy dining in the wine cellar where they are surrounded by the 4,000 bottle collection that serves both the restaurant and Symons General Store. The Caesar salad is made with white anchovies and is so much tastier than those same salads made with the standard canned anchovies. The venison blackstrap was phenomenal. It was accompanied by a port cherry sauce that left me wanting to lick the plate - I didn't want to leave a drop.

Took my wife for our anniversary as this was one of the first nice restaurants I took her to when we were still dating 28 years ago. We were not disappointed, it has not changed over the years. Better ambiance in the summer but not bad even on a drizzly November evening next to the fireplace.
