Restaurants near Galina Palace

It is one of our favorite restaurants. Will you make a point to go there for Christmas Eve dinner. 

Throughout the years, this Ruth Chris never disappoints. Our server, Jared, was outstanding. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. This is one establishment knows how to create a total dining "experience". Please note that if you take a ride share here and put in "Ruth Chris" it tries to take you to the old location. Make certain you put in the address which is 5919 Canoga Ave. Woodland Hills, CA 91367 - the ride share apps still have the new location as "Fridays".

Food and drinks were great! We ordered the Japanese gyoza and they were so delicious especially the cause. I ordered the ravioli bianco and added the lobster tail, did not disappoint. My husband ordered the steak and sushi. That is his go to with an old fashion. Came here for his bday and he loved it. The reason I removed a star is because on my way to the restroom I slipped and fell on something slippery on the floor. A lady came and asked me if I was ok (not sure who she was from the staff) but didn’t bother to check on me once I returned to my seat. Overall delicious food and nice ambiance.

Being in from Boston for a quick holiday trip, we were pleased this place was open on a Monday for lunch. Valet parking, quick & polite for under $10. Hostess quickly seated our party of 3 in a covered, sunken garden terrace type dining room . Comfy seating but the youngish crowd was pretty noisy. We are older but I didn’t feel over dressed in my black blazer. The room and the attractive crowd would have been a good setting for a Jeff Lewis or Housewives episode. I got an Amalfi Blue ($16) good, tasting, fizzy lunch cocktail that didn’t leave me pulverized. Casa Lena Burger($18) was delicious. My wife got the Ahi Tuna Sandwich ($24) Looked like big portions, and our guest had the Steak sandwich, also big & she brought half home in the restaurant’s distinctive take out bag. Panettone (it’s Christmas time) and Passion fruit sorbet. Perfectly prepared . The attentive service people were professional and striking looking.

I am pretty snub when it comes to sushi, I have been to the best sushi places all around the world, including Jiro. I found this place by at yelp when I am searching for something else, oh boy am I happy. It is new and offered omakase at reasonable price for the value. There were 8 people at 5:30PM setting and everything was just perfect. All the staffs were very attentive and Chef Jay was great, he explained every dish and I can feel his heart and soul into the dishes. It's a experience you will never forget. I went with my teenager son who stayed there with me without complaints- he usually doesn't like to go out and he even appreciated the quality and taste the restaurant offered. I am definitely going back!
