Inspired by the market, Chef César Murillo utilizes exceptional ingredients at the height of their season. His tasting menu reflects the Arts & Crafts approach of the dining room - complex layers of subtle craft beneath a simple decorative style. Riccardo started his career at a very young age in Milan's prestigious "GIRARROSTO" family owned. Then, in 1982 he moved to the United States and he opened the famous Sonny Bono's in Los Angeles. In 1987 he started to work with his cousin Roberto Ruggeri, with him he opened Bice New York, Los Angeles and many others around the world. Together with his wife (and sous chef), Veronica, and his cousin (and hostess), Barbara, he decided to continue his gastronomic artistry and creativity in his restaurant named after himself "Riccardo Trattoria."Here through the craftsmanship of an Italian food connoisseur, dishes are prepared with an almost zen-like essentiality that has shaped Riccardo's professional and existential life course. Riccardo Michi comes from a restaurant Family in Milan established since 1943 called Girarrosto, one of the first Tuscan restaurants in town and still operating.After moving to the US, Riccardo opened Sonny Bono, IL Giardino Ristorante and Madeo Ristorante in Beverly Hills. In 1987 he helped his cousin Roberto Ruggeri open the first Bice restaurant in New York City. Since then, he has worked in the opening of many of the restaurants in the group. In 2002 Riccardo moved to Chicago with his wife Veronica to be the executive chef of Bice on Ontario.Finally Riccardo and Veronica, also a chef, decided to open their own place and in 2006 called Riccardo Trattoria. Considered by many to be the top Italian restaurant in town, receiving the Bib Gourmand from Michelin in 2011, 2012 and 2013.Now, Riccardo and Veronica have opened Riccardo Enoteca, right across the street from Riccardo Trattoria on Clark.

The first Lettuce Entertain You restaurant, Grunts still exudes the funky, devil-may-care lifestyle of the 70s in its style, décor, music, and menu. Happily for all of us, the best eating of that day continues to be some of the best today. While there's a huge menu that's as much fun to eat your way through as it is to read, many of Grunts' old favorites spark return visits. The burgers are arguably the best in town. The new 'digital' salad bar boasts many of your favorite fresh ingredients daily. Giant malts and milkshakes are hand scooped and come in a rainbow of favors. Oh!     We were seated quickly as we had reservations. Farther from the beautiful tree, but we could see some of it. Our meals were delicious! We had the Lobster Biisque soup, Cranberry Citrus Chicken Salad Croissant, and Lobster Ravoli. Everything was scrumptious! Our server, Yolanda, was very attentive. Offered a few selections and brought us drinks. Online reservations were a bit challenging as time slots only opened up the day before our scheduled arrival. Overall, our experience at The Walnut Room was delightful!

    Food and ambiance were great as always. Our waiter was pretty bad, no water refill, no silvery for desserts, he was slow. I have been there many times and waiters were always great. Music was a little bit on the loud side

    Our waiter, Seth, was top-notch. He made the dinner experience THAT much better. Food was incredible, don’t get me wrong, but a really good waiter is hard to come by.

    Dining at Tre Dita was an exceptional experience from the time we were greeted at the hostess stand to the time we left. The timing of the service of each course was perfect! We never felt rushed and we did take our time enjoying each and every bite! All staff were great. Our server Nina was exceptional! Great knowledge of the dishes as well as the wines that complimented them. She was so genuine, nice and fun which added so much to our experience! We had the squash blossoms, blue prawns, insulate di cicoria (which was plentiful- we shared it) wild boar papperdelle pasta dish, and spaghetti ala vongole! Had a great bottle of vermentino that was featured this week. Finished with tiramisu, espresso martini and limoncello! Buonissima! Almost forgot to mention the view! Gorgeous!
