Restaurants near Fortunes Rock Beach

We’ve been dining here for 3 years now. Something was off the mark this time. Don’t get me wrong the service was incredible and the atmosphere was top notch as usual. The food was lacking this time. It was good but it was lacking the extravagant flavors we’ve grown accustomed to when we dine here.

Had a reservation for 6 at noon. We arrived and were seated at a table already set up for us. Nice. Drinks first then ordered the great food. Three of us ordered the wedge salad, one a Caesar salad, one a chopped salad with a chowder and the last ordered fish and chips, and ordered a fish and chips to bring home. The food was delicious and wonderfully prepared. The staff is excellent and very attentive. Wonderful.

A sensational evening. The host, Amy our server, the food, the ambience, the whole experience is off the charts impressive. If you haven't been here let me tell you in no uncertain terms get you derrière here sooner than later & enjoy this French Bistro. Tonight I wanted a1/2 dozen oysters with a wine mignonette unfortunately they were all sold out. Do I order french onion soup or do I just jump in & go with The steak frites? or should I have the day boat scallops? I'll tell you I'm having a very hard time deciding on what entree I will have. What do i do??? Ok I've decided I'll have the French onion soup & steak frites. I'm stuffed I have to take home 1/2 my dinner. Not a bad thing to enjoy some steak tomorrow morning. No room for dessert but the deserts sounded wonderful. Oops all my pictures somehow disappeared. I can tell you they were great pictures of all our food & the menus.

Always a great experience at Magnus on Water! The Cocktails are creative but hit just the right notes. And the food is inventive but approachable and delicious! Ambiance and Service - just right!

Always a great time...so sad that The Tides closes this weekend. Had to have one more Swordfish with Rissoto dinner. It was magical. See you next May!!!!
