A lovely evening fantastic food and service. We ate with a two youngest granddaughters at 5pm everything was perfect. So whether your eating early with children, eating later with friends or a romantic meal for two. The potted lobster never disappoints.

The Sunday lunch that we were served was the most delicious Sunday lunch that any of us had ever been lucky enough to receive. Every item was cooked to perfection and had a beautiful flavour. The service was great, friendly and efficient and the room was cosy with the log burner. I have told everyone I’ve met since to visit, it really was lovely. The carvery was lovely again and we had gorgeous desserts. It is such good value as the carvery is free for children. The staff are welcoming and friendly.

We planned a weekend break in Dolgellau and Y Sospan was booked two weeks before the trip. We last ate there in September 2023 so being keen to visit again is a strong recommendation. We both wanted the lamb shank and it was outstanding in quality and quantity. It's a really interesting building, the service was excellent, the whole experience just what we hoped for. We did, in fact, return for lunch, without booking, on Saturday as we were keen to give the Cafe Menu a try. It'll be on our wish list anytime we are in North Wales and want a decent meal.
