Napa Valley Bistro was opened in 2013 by chefs Bernardo Ayala and Ernesto Martinez, (also co-owner of Market in St. Helena). Their friendship and working relationship, which has lasted over 20 years was so successful, they decided to pool their resources and stake a claim in downtown Napa's expanding culinary scene. Their aim was to create their own version of classic world cuisine in a comfortable space where family and community could gather for any occasion. The twist is evident in the menus, which sample fare from around the globe. Guests can choose from traditionally prepared Mexican Empanadas or timeless American favorites like the Lamb Burger and St. Louis Ribs.     This has become our new favorite Italian restaurant in Napa. The food is outstanding and the service is gracious, attentive and friendly. We sat upstairs for the first time, and found it was more intimate and substantially quieter, though we have sat downstairs before and found the experience delightful. Pastas are great, with a special non to the lemon ravioli, and the meat and fish dished are outstanding. The pork chop Milanese is light, tender and well flavored. All in all an excellent meal and a delightful dining experience.

    Cole's chop house was as good as it has been for several years. We had just visited them over the New year and had a fabulous meal, service was great, etc. A must go to when in Napa!!
