- AAlisonSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThis is our favorite restaurant and we always return for important celebratory events. Last night, every single food item we ordered was off the charts delicious. Nancy was a lovely waitress who was also enjoyable to chat with. The only wrinkle in our experience was that our table was not ready for us despite having a reservation, so we had to wait. But it is Valentine's Day weekend and was a busy evening at Cafe Cruz. We had a lovely evening and a fabulous meal!More infoCafe Cruz Rosticceria & BarPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Soquel•4.7
- SStevenSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe food is excellent. Everything was well prepared. Service was excellent. One thing to note, the side dishes are enormous. You should either order a half or be prepared to split it with one or two other people. Another thing, if you order a glass of wine instead of a bottle have them bring it immediately. It is quite cold and it takes a while for a red to warm up to the point where it can be fully appreciated. The rack of lamb has 7 ribs. Be prepared to split it or take some home. Doggie bags were quite common. Another neat trick, their prepared drinks come with dry ice on the glass. It keeps the liquid cool but it does not dilute the flavor as it melts. One last thing. Be prepared for an expensive experience. Two of us with drinks, 2 glasses of wine, 2 half appetizers, 3 half sides and 2 main courses ended up with a bill over $550 including tip. Worth it for special occasions but a lot for any kind of regular thing.More infoMastro’s Steakhouse - Santa ClaraPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Santa Clara•4.6
- DDanSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoMy wife and I had a terrific Valentine’s Day dinner and drinks. The prix-fixe menu options were excellent. The oysters, tuna tar-tar, strip steak were done perfectly. The bread pudding was possibly the best I’ve ever eaten. My wife’s halibut may have been a touch overdone—but just a touch and that’s only relative to everything else being absolutely perfect. The service was prompt, courteous and pro-active. The atmosphere and large table in a cozy nook was perfect, too. Highly recommend!More infoLos Gatos ParksidePrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Los Gatos•4.7
