- CClaireAyrshire •1 review4.0Dined 4 days agoWe really enjoy going to the blues restaurant and pavilion but just wish the food menu was to a better standard. It’s very unpredictable and depends on the chef, when it’s a decent chef the food is lovely. I chose the salt and chilli Asian king prawns with fries, the fries were cold and the main dish was basic for the price paid which was £18. The waiter took the fries back without any problem and the new ones were better. However, overall for that dish in particular, it was not worth the £18. The standard of food needs to be better… Husband got the steak pie which looked nice and he said tasted lovely - there needs to be a better standard of food served and shouldn’t depend on who the chef is…More infoBlues – at the parkPrice: Moderate• Modern European• Kilmarnock•4.7
- RRobinEdinburgh/Midlothian •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoDelicious food served by friendly, attentive staff in a relaxed atmosphere. A very dog-friendly venue. I particularly enjoyed the local scallops and my other half and I both agreed we’d never ever tasted such lovely smooth black pudding. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for! Would highly recommend and will definitely go back the next time we visit the area!More infoBuccleuch & Queensberry Arms HotelPrice: Expensive• Scottish• Thornhill•4.4

- LLisaDumfries and Galloway •1 review5.0Dined on 18 Dec 2024We visited for the first time for my boyfriends 40th. It fell on a Wednesday so it was an easy option to book for the steak sharer option. The value was unquestionable before we even set foot through the door! £50 for 2 people to be fed and watered it incredible! Anyway, we arrived, all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We were offered drinks almost immediately. Our server was lovely, offered above and beyond what we expected and gave good recommendations on options available whilst just having a wee chat. While we waited on our food to arrive we had some salt and vinegar popcorn to snack on....very moreish The atmosphere was so relaxed. Christmas tunes playing in the background and beautifully decorated too. Of course we were there for the food and were blown away with the value versus the quality. The steak was cooked to perfection 👌🏼 the mac and cheese was delish 😋 the chips were immense and the extra onion rings were possibly the best we have ever tasted 🤌🏼 Even though the birthday boy was feeling unwell he really enjoyed his evening and we can't wait to come back again. Will defo be recommending to family and friends and putting a gift voucher on the next gift wish list 😉More infoThe Back Street RestaurantPrice: Moderate• British• Dumfries•4.8
