Vue de monde is a testament to the belief that dining can be a wondrous and unforgettable experience. The ever-changing chef’s menu pays homage to classical fine dining in a modern context by exploring the beauty of native Australian ingredients. Vue de monde has been synonymous with Melbourne dining for almost 20 years, continuing to present an exciting and dynamic experience with a progression of flavours and sense of curiosity. Hi my name’s Neri!Proud owner of Angkor Café & Restaurant. A modern Cambodian eatery located on Spencer Street in West Melbourne! Be honest with me here. When you think of Asian cuisine… What pops up in your mind?Chinese? - Vietnamese? - Thai? Cambodian is rarely in that convo, but let me try change that- You seeI was born and raised in Cambodia. Post-war, but the one thing that kept us going… was grandma’s cooking. The unique flavours and special sauces. The tantalising spices of the curries. The fish amok’s and the prahok’s. It was a bonding experience for the family and has stuck with me ever since. When I was a young adult I had the dream of moving to Australia. ‎After years of being here I realised, that the food that I grew up with, Everything I had experienced up to that point, was not readily available in Australia. So Angkor Café & Restaurant was born at the differences in quality & fresh ingredients used introducing Cambodian cuisine to Melbournians just like yourself.

Went here for a galentines dinner with my friend and we were both blown away with how yummy the food was! Absolutely obsessed with the king fish sashimi and crispy duck wontons. We got the feed me menu which was very reasonably priced and the mains were a good size. Cocktails were superb. Overall such a great experience, the staff were super friendly and accommodating, the food came out quickly and my taste buds will never be the same. Highly recommend.

Our experience at Freyja was exceptional! From the warm and inviting ambiance to the impeccable service and exquisite cuisine, every detail exceeded our expectations! The flavors were both unique and surprising, an unexpected combination that created an explosion of taste in every bite. Our waiter was not only attentive and knowledgeable but also took the time to explain each dish thoroughly. The food arrived seamlessly, and the wine pairing was spot-on, complementing each course. Overall, I highly recommend Freyja and can’t wait to return!
