Restaurants near Daniel Boone Wildlife Management Area

Another outstanding experience at the Gamekeeper. Service and food were top notch. While this isn’t a kid’s restaurant, my 8 year old made his first trip on this visit. He loved the emu and the mixed game grill. In his words “they should give an award to whoever cooked this bird”. 

The ambiance was warm and cozy with a nice little buzz from fellow diners. All the food was interesting, well made and fresh. They have a nice wine and beer selection as well as season cocktails. I would definitely go back for me!

Reid’s cafe is always excellent and last night was another great time. Great food, service and drinks. Highly recommend Reid’s for your next date night.

Passing through, this seemed like an interesting place to go for lunch. Trout dominates the menu -- 100% fine for us. I enjoyed smoked trout with gouda grits, partner took her trout on a kale salad -- both were 100% happily consumed to the bottom of the plate. We weren't drinking for lunch, but there is plenty of beer and wine for those looking for those options. Definitely would love to try the place again for dinner when we visit next.
