Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail. Keeping with that tradition, guests of Post will have an opportunity to “Ring the Bell”, which signifies that they have bought a beer for our hard working kitchen and waitstaff.     Very good We all had a lovely time . Plenty of tea w honey. I even saved the small honey jars. They were so cute. I will recycle them and use them again. I couldn’t seem to think they would go in the trash. We all ordered from menu. You could get the buffet but choose to order. I had the veggie quiche. Delicious. Everyone one else was happy at our table. Nice relaxing atmosphere. ❤️❤️💜💜Happy New year All

    We can't recommend Mile Marker One enough! It's always been a summer favorite of ours, but we just ate lunch in one of their very cool igloos on the water, and it was fantastic. Along with a table for 4, there was a cozy sitting area for 2 people provided. The service and food was the usual excellent, and the view! Their was even music tapped in. We didn't want to leave. Thank you for putting these igloos on the deck so we could experience everything we love about Mile Marker in the winter too! A+
