Welcome to The Red Lion Bishopgate!On the banks of the River Wensum and a stone's throw from Norwich Cathedral. We serve fresh, locally sourced food all day, everyday. Our head chef Tom has created a menu suitable for everyone, including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. We serve a delicious Sunday roast every weekend.Brunch is also available every weekend 10:00am-12 noon (11:30am on Sundays).     The three of us, a married couple (the wife celebrating her Birthday) and myself, were welcomed most warmly and led to the table I always request. My friends had never eaten at a Cote Brasserie before. They are connoisseurs of good food and wine - having celebrated a Birthday at Le Gavroche shortly before it closed. They were most impressed by Cote's extensive menu and wine list. They were genuinely enthusiastic about the quality of the dishes they chose - as they said, fine ingredients excellently cooked. The dessert for the wife celebrating her Birthday duly arrived with candle.... They commented on the service as very friendly and most efficient. They will certainly be dining at Cote again - it was altogether a very memorable and happy celebration - and Cote will continue to be my 'go to' place for entertaining friends.

    Our party enjoyed the Peter Pan afternoon tea. It was excellent!! One of the party is gluten and lactose intolerant and they were provided with a separate stand of food. Their items looked exactly like the other one. Service was efficient and the staff were extremely friendly. A beautiful setting.

    Came to the Red lion from Cambridge in the summer and sat near the river Such a lovely setting Came back to Norwich and decided to book Sunday lunch Had the pork belly and Roast beef Have to say it’s the best roast we have had 10/10 for everything Gary and Linda Cambridge
