The Horse and Groom Inn aims to provide great food and drink in a quintessential, traditional 16th century country inn. Dining is relaxed and informal in a friendly atmosphere. We stock a wide choice of wines by the glass, cask conditioned ales, lagers and ciders. Our guests can enjoy dining in our cosy bar or restaurant areas. We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads. Theo & Sebastian who are brothers, started Smiths in the middle of a pandemic! We are seriously passionate about patties and are based in Bourton-On-The-water, also known as ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’. Our restaurant sits circa 30 guests making it a small, exclusive place to come and eat. Since opening, we have made it our mission to get our hands on the best possible ingredients. We also use dry aged beef with a great fat content supplied by Aubrey Allen, which marries up with our strong, unique flavour combinations giving you the ultimate bite! We cant forget about or delightful buns, which are handmade daily by a wonderful local baker. All the flour used for our buns is made up of Cotswold flour sourced from local farmers. We had lunch in the stag on a very busy day. All tables were full and we were allocated a table in the bar area. It was very comfortable and cosy apart from a draft from the windows (which you would expect in an old building, so it was no problem). The food was delicious and the service was good. I would definitely eat here again.

We loved our Christmas meal at Bellini's. We had Christmas Dinner in Rome a couple of years ago. This matched it! Nothing was too much trouble for them. Their food, service and ambience for us was magnificent. When we said that one of us didn't like something, they immediately offered a replacement that suited us. We will certainly revisit to eat your daily menu.

Visited with a group of friends. The staff were polite and courteous- giving time when necessary. Food was delicious- everyone enjoyed their burgers. Well worth a visit.
