Set in Kansas City’s historic City Market, Brown and Loe Restaurant’s inviting atmosphere is a blend of “big city” bistro with the welcoming casual flavor of a neighborhood favorite. Housed in a former Merchant’s Bank constructed in 1920, the restaurant honors the architectural details of the two-story building which features a façade of plate glass and verde marble floors and walls. In the 1940’s, Brown and Loe was originally a produce broker with offices on the second floor of the Merchant’s Bank building. The new Brown and Loe Restaurant celebrates the techniques of curing, pickling and smoking meats, beautifully interpreted into marvelous American comfort cuisine.     Had a wonderful time at Blue Sushi Sake Grill. My friends & I were gathering post holiday to catch up and enjoy a great meal together. Our server was wonderful! He let us take our time, was very attentive and gave us excellent service! Could not have asked for a better experience! Food was excellent!

    Service was fantastic! We were there at 530 on a Sat and the noise level was perfect. I could see it being very loud in there though. The food was outstanding. We had steak and multiple seafood items. Oh and dumplings for an appetizer and creme brulee for dessert. Pricey but very much worth it

    It was a wonderful experience, with a perfect view of the downtown city scape. The shopping area was decorated with colorful lights which added to the ambiance for Christmas. Food was perfect. Steaks were tender, and juicy, pork chop was excellent and the bread was so good with the 3 sauces. We had empanadas as well, and they were good, but our group decided if there was something to pass, it would be this, as we didn’t have room for dessert. Our waiter, Justin, was excellent and on top of making our dining a wonderful experience! Highly recommend this restaurant!
