Sooooo, we shared the crab bisque and crab cake to start, both were fantastic. The bisque is so rich, silky and delicious. The crab cakes with the pineapple salsa with either sauce is hands down one of the best appetizers. She ordered the lobster tail and couldn’t have been more pleased. I had the prime rib w baked potato and it was prepared perfectly. Kudos to the chef’s and wait staff. Great experience and I loved the old fashion I had w dinner. Only issue is that she will expect this for every birthday dinner.

Valentine's date night. Reservation for 6:30. Walked right in and was seated almost immediately. Having not been here before, (we are new to KC) our server, Noah, was fantastic, explaining the menu and sharing his favorites with us. He was engaging and knowledgeable. Ordered the Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer and they were fantastic. Followed that up with a shared Champagne Fish and Chips, and a small wedge salad. The fish was cooked to perfection. The chef uses a rice flour and, you guessed it, champagne to make the batter extra light and crispy. Topped it off with their house made Beignets which, I have to admit, rival anything you'll get in NOLA, including the infamous Cafe Du Monde - they are no joke, 100% legit! Happy we found this place. Everything was spot on. Will definitely be back!

Our server, Katlin, was wonderful! the new baker potato souffle was very tasty. very glad it's staying on the menu. His steak was cool but said it still tasted good. My sweetheart pasta was cold so not as tasty. Needs cheese. The chocolate creme brulee was very good but would be great if warm. Maybe our food was held too long before released to be served

This was our first time at Verbena. The atmosphere was lovely. I am gluten and dairy free. The server was well versed in what menu items were gluten and dairy free or could be altered to be gluten and dairy free. The food was delicious and presented very nicely. We will go back. I can't believe we waited so long to try Verbena. Highly recommend.

We went to Grand Street to celebrate my husband's birthday. Tried two appetizers -- the deviled bacon and eggs and the tuna tartare -- both were delicious. The side Caesar salads were prepared with fresh, crisp greens and just the right amount of dressing. Our entrees were all delicious and priced at what you'd expect. Our server, Piper, was pleasant and friendly. She was attentive without hovering. The Phyllo Brownie was served to the birthday boy and it was so yummy. We also had apple pie and it was quite tasty too. Will make a return visit!
