In 2007 they founded Canal House, which includes a publishing venture and a culinary, photography, and design studio. Their cookbook "Canal House Cooks Every Day" received a James Beard Award in 2012. In 2019, Christopher and Melissa opened Canal House Station, a hidden gem tucked into an elegantly restored 1870s train station on the banks of the Delaware River in Milford, NJ. Their idiosyncratic, modern American cuisine is inspired by local ingredients that are ripe and in season in Hunterdon and Bucks County. They are two women, cooking together, and sharing their love of gathering people around the table to eat good food.     We always enjoy dining at The Clinton House. Last night I felt my lobster BLT was a bit tough and the brioche bun was a little too toasted. The house chips were OK but dry. My husband had the stuffed chicken and wild rice with carrots. I just won't order that dish again. The service was good and ambiance was lovely. The carrot cake for dessert was yummy.

    We have been there numerous times and never disappointed. The food was excellent and the service very attentive. I rated the noise level low but we have always gone during non crowded off times by design.

    The Cree Wine Bar is an informal understated culinary experience. From the personal greeting up front to non intrusive wait staff to the bespoke selection of wines paired with appetizers and entrees and never any pressure to upsell. The wine selection is among the best I have seen in the state. It’s truly a wonderful place to meet with friends for an afternoon who can always find something on the menu they like. Keep it up !
