- KkathyDublin •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoFirst visit for a family celebration. A bit pricier than other Mexican Restaurants we had been to but worth it for a special occasion. Food is another level - crab tostada excellant and fish tacos. Duck Carnita was delicious and plenty for sharing. Also the grilled steak - perfectly cooked with a lovely char. We didn’t have deserts - had a cocktail instead. Again, fabulous - would recommend the Spicy Fox. Service on point and a really nice vibe in the restaurant. We’ll be back!!More infoParrilla RanelaghPrice: Expensive• Mexican• Ranelagh•4.5

- DDermotVIPDublin •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoI have occassion to visit Johnnie Foxes quite often. Choices for food and craic in Dublin are getting better and better, and yet I will still take the drive up the gorgeous Dublin and Wicklow mountains for lunch in Johnnie Foxes. Sometimes on my own, and sometimes with clients. There's no fuss, always a great service (even when they're busy), and the staff are always really friendly. The food has always been gorgeous, especially the seafood pie and the beef and Guinness pie (and apparently the oysters too, according to friends, if you like them), and maybe one of the things I love most about Johnnie Foxes is that they don't overcharge - they could easily stick another 20% onto their prices like so many other Irish outlets, but they don't, and as a Dubliner that's a winner for me. At this stage Johnnie Foxes is quite famous, and they could rest on their laurels, letting their outstanding decor and history do the job of attracting tourists and visitors, but they don't do that either. I guess I've been there over 50 times by now, and every single time has been a 5 star event, so I thought it time to write a review. Sorry for taking so long!More infoJohnnie Fox'sPrice: Moderate• Irish• Glencullen•4.7
