Originally opened in 2005, Garrett Harker’s flagship restaurant has reopened its doors just up Beacon St. only three blocks from its original location. Eastern Standard continues to offer seasonally focused New England interpretations of classic brasserie fare, including raw bar and charcuterie, nostalgic favorites like steak tartare, baked rigatoni, steak frites, and butterscotch bread pudding, and some new soon-to-be-instant-classic dishes.     It’s worth coming here just to experience one of Jackson Cannon’s very labor intensive signature drinks, such as the olive oil washed Standard Oil martini. After tasting one of these savory and silky flavor bombs, I’m hooked. Pairs perfectly with the mortadella skewer or bay scallop appetizer. Also Enjoyed the crunchy porchetta platter, will have to try the pastas next time. Place is a bit tricky to find the first time there, but from Eastern Standard look for the sign and follow the trail of little lights.

    Liza (hope I spelled right) is a great host. Each time I come back she gives a good background on drink and my friends and I are cozy and set up well. Slowly becoming my favorite spot.
