The Pen and Wig is a haven in the middle of the city. We are a traditional pub a mere 3 minutes’ walk from Queen Street. We serve quality food until 10pm and we have an amazing beer garden that is in use all year round. We also have an ever changing selection of real ale that we source from our local breweries and also a few from further afield. Lovely food. We waited ages for water so eventually had to go and ask for it as one of our party wasn’t drinking and that was his beverage choice but other than that it was all good.

Had a booking at Slug and Lettuce for a celebratory dinner with my parter. Food and drinks were amazing and so was the service. The staff were so helpful in catering for us, we can wait to come again!
