Welcome to the Steam Plant Restaurant and Brew Pub! This historical building actually functioned as a steam plant between 1916 and 1986, when the last boiler was shut down in December of that year.Then years later, the old plant was transformed from a dirty, drab industrial behemoth into a cathedral-bright architectural showcase becoming a functional commercial space while maintaining as much history and equipment as possible within the rigid guidelines of historic renovation. Fortunately, the iconic twin stacks continue to lend a uniqueness to the Spokane skyline. Since reopening in November 2021, the Steam Plant has partnered with Grain Shed Brewing whose beers are made with regionally sourced ingredients. The service,food and atmosphere were wonderful. Our waitress despite the fact the restaurant was crowded was very nice and attentive. My guest left her hat and gloves and our waitress came running out to the lobby to give her the forgotten items

The duck was fantastic and the Ora Salmon was absolutely incredible! My beautiful fiancée even ordered it over done (“well done” in her words) on accident and after realizing she misspoke was worried it would come out dry and chewy, but it still came out with a wonderful crisp but not too dry at all, and paired amazingly with the mustard and sauce. Their kitchen is full of artists. Absolutely wonderful meal overall, will definitely be exploring there menu on many a date night to come.
