General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Brought my partner and 6 of our friends here to celebrate his 40th. There were multiple allergies at the table and our server was not only SUPER knowledgeable and friendly but accommodated and everyone and put together an incredible tasting menu for us. We all felt very well taken care of and had so much fun! 5 stars all around!

Been here probably 10 times and every time is always amazing. Food is great, service is great, ambiance is always nice. Cocktails are very good. A must to get the gelato every single time, it changes often.
