- CCornellVIPGreater Boston •19 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoWe were very impressed with our server, who was very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was very good, indeed the pan seared Haddock was exceptional. However, the room was so dark that all of us kept using our phone flashlights to see the menu and the food enters when they would arrive. When you can't enjoy seeing the food you are eating, the ambiance or mood lighting is TOO DARK.More infoThe Corner RoomPrice: Expensive• Italian• Portland•4.7

KEVIN provided us with exceptional cocktails and lunch recommendations. - GGlenVIPGreater Boston •52 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoEven though I messed up on the reservation time and our party therefore arrived late, the hosts were very gracious, welcoming and accommodating. We were seated right away at a great table (I think any table in there would be great, truly). Our server Stefan was terrific, attentive and helpful. The drinks and food were excellent, with very interesting flavors and flavor combinations. Though it is a bit pricey, the experience is worth it and I highly recommend it.More infoLucky CheetahPrice: Expensive• Chinese• Portland•4.7

- SSandraGreater Boston •31 reviews5.0Dined on 25 Dec 2024We had a wonderful Christmas eve dinner at Solo Italiano (with the help of an early Christmas gift card!) The Il Cappon Magro was a really fun and different antipasti starter course for a special evening. As we were walking to our table, we had seen in the prep area behind the glass, this rather giant jello mold looking mound with shrimp that piqued our interest. Upon inquiring, we discovered it was a "traditional Genovese fish layered 'cake' of halibut, scallop, lobster, Gulf shrimp, mussels, salsa verde, beets, cauliflower, carrots, green beans and potatoes!" (took photo of description off the menu!) We shared a very large serving, and thoroughly enjoyed it, although too much for the 2 of us to finish as an appetizer! For our main courses, we had a very good stuffed ravioli as well as an amazing "Filetto in Crosta" beef tenderloin in puff pastry with foie gras & prosciutto, served with Brussels sprouts, their house steak sauce and winter truffles. The wonderful chocolatey dessert was a great finish!More infoSolo ItalianoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Portland•4.7
