The Salthouse Tavern is a large, two-roomed, friendly local pub, in the heart of east Hull, close to the village of Sutton, Howdale Road, Salthouse Road and Gleneagle Park. From noon to 8 pm we serve a great menu. We show all major sporting events, including football and rugby league, on our six flat-screen TVs.We have a traditional bar, with two pool tables and several darts boards, as well as a jukebox. The food was fantastic, one of the best steaks I have had. The service was very slow, but I think this was down to it being two days before Christmas and it was very busy. Despite that, I would definitely visit again for a steak.

Calamari oily. Lasagne stodgy as 2 sheets stuck together and overcooked. No seasoning either. Husband enjoyed his meal though. Had to ask twice for a couple of things. Meals not confirmed before walking away and had to amend something quickly. Felt a bit rushed. Overpriced in places too.
