- JJimMontreal / Quebec •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoI have eaten at Swift House many times and the food is always good, but last night's meal was superb! My strip steak was perfectly charred, tender, with an excellent sauce. The service too was particularly warm and inviting. P.S. I find the credit card requirement for reservations (particularly the stiff amounts) off-putting, though I always call to cancel when necessaryMore infoJessica's at Swift HousePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Middlebury•4.9
- DDavidMontreal / Quebec •1 review4.0Dined 5 days agoDisappointed with the lack of a gluten free bun for their delicious burgers, and the new vegetarian pad Thai was inedible. The server graciously took it back and rushed a vegetarian burger which was excellent although the bun was not good and it came with 2 fingering potatoesMore infoPlatePrice: Moderate• American• Stowe•4.7
- LLaurence GPhiladelphia County •6 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had a special dinner at the tavern. It is a warm and inviting space. The food is quite good. My wife and I both started with the excellent clam chowder. Warning: it is very filling! I had the tacos which were unusual and good, but not as good as the hangar steak my wife had! Alas, we did not have room for dessert. I’m sure we will return.More infoRichardson’s TavernPrice: Moderate• American• Woodstock•4.5
- JJoelGreater Boston •5 reviews5.0Dined on 29 Jan 2025A really spectacular meal! My wife and I started with the Vermont Artisan Cheese Tasting. The cheeses and the "embellishments" were almost a meal onto themselves. We then split the 14 ounce Ribeye. Also delicious! The cocktails were on par. I enjoyed the Corpse Reviver #2 and my wife enjoyed the vodka Collins. Ashley was a great waitstaff! Her suggestions worked out perfectly. We are light eaters but splitting those 2 dishes was quite filling. The Red Rooster stands on its own as a restaurant and isn't just a "hotel restaurant". We were staying at the Woodstock Inn so a bonus not having to go outside for dinner!More infoRed Rooster at The Woodstock Inn and ResortPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Woodstock•4.6
- SKStephenKGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined on 14 Feb 2022We appreciate our local restaurateurs and businesses in general, but when they excel it truly brings our experience to a brand new level. Location is a bit trippy, but its something you can remember, along with the fabulous food!More infoThe Woods LodgePrice: Moderate• American• Montpelier•4.5
