Welcome to Sarita, where we are slightly obsessed with serving good food among friends and family. Our focus is on healthy, new American cuisine – a celebration of all our backgrounds and roots. The name Sarita is a nod to Chef Anthony Romano’s mentor, plus the name of a song by the New Orleans band, The Subdudes, one of the chef’s favorites. The restaurant is owned by executive chef Romano. At age the of 20, Chef Rafael moved with his wife to Cleveland, Ohio. His goal was to continue his Italian culinary skills which he acquired in the region of Verona, Italy.Chef Rafael was introduced to the restaurant industry at a very young age. His grandmother was very well known for her home-cooked dishes. She loved having her grandson with her as she cooked meals as soon as he was able to walk. He was six years old when he first learned how to make homemade pasta and, by age 14, he was ready to embark on his own culinary journey. His first stop was Verona, Italy,which was the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. The romantic and rich architectural heritage of Verona was matched by the great culinary venues of that city and Chef Rafael's experience and skills grew exponentially. Three years later, Chef Rafael traveled to Belgium and France where he then experienced cooking French cuisine as well.

Amazing food and service. Wonderful a very nice Caesar salad followed by Braised Lamb Shank with a rich sauce and Tagliatelle Pasta. I had a chocolate mousse for dessert, so rich and delicious I will be remembering it for days to come. I also tasted the Potato Gnocchi with a Pesto Cream Sauce which was divine, I will be having that on our next visit. Staff is always attentive and personable. An enjoyable experience.

The food was all great! Waiter was knowledgeable and attentive! There are good options for GF and V and the waiter was able to have other menu options prepared to accommodate those. A neighborhood gem that I was not aware of until I found on Opentable! We'll be back.
