- DDanielSan Francisco Bay Area •10 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoGoing out to dinner on a holiday like Valentine’s Day is difficult. Usually waitstaff is overworked and exhausted. Black Rock is typically busy so I figured it would be slammed. It was, and all the same everyone was having a great time. Our waitress was very nice and talked to us throughout the night. The food was delicious as always. They were very accommodating and communicative.More infoBlack Rock SteakhousePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Springfield•4.5
- DDouglasGreater Boston •12 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe started off with the "small" cheese plate--3 cheeses. And while the cheeses were all excellent, it was not small at all! There were only two of us, and this easily could have served four or even six! Needless to say, we took half of it home. On to the Estate Greens salad, which was delicious. I had the Cornmeal Crusted Cod, and it was done perfectly--tender, flaky, tasty, with a wonderful sauce/stew that was almost like a chowder, containing shrimp, small sliced potatoes, bacon, and chives. I'm normally not a big cream sauce guy, but everything just "worked" together beautifully. My wife had to House Made Pappardelle (and this was the widest pappardelle I ever saw!). She thought it was excellent, but was maybe a little light on the mushrooms. Our table was toward the front of the restaurant, with a great view of the fireplace. We even got to sit there for a bit before our cheese plate was served. As it was Valentine's Day, we skipped dessert because we had a box of chocolates and some fresh strawberries waiting for us at home. But the Maple Bourbon creme brulee looked really good!More infoSawmill Bar & TablePrice: Expensive• American• Dover•4.9
