Restaurants near Bancroft Gardens

I thought it was going to be an overpriced roast lunch experience as everything is in the UK- But I was very very happy - first we changed our mind few times about where we wanted to eat ( restaurant or bar ) as we have a dog and you can be only in the bar area with the dug so I planned to take him back Home but what happened was great - they reserved us a table by the fire at the bar so it felt really nice! Then the food was great - and I am really demanding - The proportions were good ( the roast was plenty!!) the shared platter was good ( I thought it would be better but it was good enough) - the atmosphere was great, service was perfect and I was not easy!!! I loved everything The price was ok - I thought I would pay that - The roast was really good - the horseradish sauce could be milder if I could say a tiny improvement feedback - Thank you - seriously it couldn’t haven’t been better for the UK ( price/ food/ atmosphere/ service quality)

Very busy indeed on the Sunday before Xmas. Loads of helpful staff and table for 2 ready and waiting. Service was efficient and cheerful. We had a query with the Sole which was dealt with immediately by the manager who was brilliant. He unhesitatingly reordered a new sole and replaced both my wife’s and my meal to ensure we synchronised our meal. New sole was perfect and my fillet steaks excellent. The manager had deleted our Prosecco starter drinks and gratuity when the bill arrived. I cannot praise them enough for food and customer service. A delightful lunchtime experience.

A warm greeting from a pleasant young lady whose name im afraid i didnt get, then exemplary table service from Cirprian who went out of his way to ensure that everyone in our party of 16 (including children);was totally satisfied.

Fantastic breakfast. Food was all perfect and delicious, service was excellent - always there without being intrusive, venue is lovely especially at this time of the year. It felt very cosy, warm and festive. We will be back.

Another lovely meal at the Opposition . Nothing to fault. Lovely service (they even brought in a special request for my wife), great food, nice ambience. I’ve never been disappointed and last night was no exception.
