Seated on time. Calm interior, quiet conversation. No background music to be shouted over, which is a big plus, especially if you have hearing aids! Service was attentive. Espressos were admittedly forgotten by the wait staff, which was otherwise excellent. Once she was reminded, it appeared quickly. Onion soup was hot, cheesy and delicious. Risotto notable for superb combination of flavors. The half portion was generously sized. Cheeseburger was actually cooked medium rare, as ordered. Nice to have selection of several sides not just French fries. The sesame bun was toasted perfectly. Traditional condiments required special request as no ketchup or mustard was offered or presented. Main dish was served as we were still eating our soup. They had great Cole slaw! Beverages of the alcoholic type were diverse and apparently satisfying. The dessert menu looked marvelous, but we did not partake of its offerings, choosing espresso instead. One of my criteria for a good restaurant, having a functional pepper mill on the table (and salt), which was on the table when we were seated. Check! The bread items were freshly made and artisanal. The basket arrived automatically and was not added to the tab. Lighting was subdued. Atmosphere was warm, cozy and relaxing. The menu was creative but not off-putting as there were items familiar to most diners, as well. It is nice to be able to select the size of ones entrée, obviating the need for leftovers unless one is a fan of leftovers. Thoroughly delightful experience! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus! I will return again soon!

I had one of the best experiences at Cento last night! I came in to celebrate my birthday with a few friends and the customer service i received, the delicious food, amazing cocktails and wine, and ambiance of the restaurant made my birthday dinner memorable and extremely special for me. My server, I believe her name was Alex, was one of the friendliest and nicest servers I’ve ever had. She recommended we talk to Stacy when we wanted to buy two bottles of wine, and Stacy was nothing but helpful and gave us such great recommendations. Thank you Cento for making my birthday dinner one of the most memorable nights! The staff, food, and drinks are absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to come back again!

We had a wonderful experience at Hank’s last night. It was our first visit but will not be our last. Our server, Alexander, could not have been any more helpful and professional without being intrusive. We loved Alexander. I had She-crab soup as did my wife and it was superb. I had the shrimp and grits and my wife had scallops which we found to be excellent. When Alexander heard it was my wife’s birthday, he brought us a humongous piece of carrot cake to take home since we were too full to have dessert there. Thank you so much for a fantastic evening.

Outstanding on every level. The bib salad was fresh and flavorful. I ordered the fillet and it was the most tender well cooked piece of meat I’ve ever had in a steakhouse. The sides were great too for dessert highly recommend that cheesecake. We will definitely be back as this is one of the best restaurants in Columbus. You get what you pay for and food and service was well worth it.

Our server, Joe Meyers, was nothing short of phenomenal. His attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm elevated our night to the next level. Joe’s knowledge of the menu was impressive—he guided us through the best cuts of steak and paired them perfectly with sides and wine recommendations. But what truly set him apart was his personality. He was personable, engaging, and even shared his passion for ice cream, sparking a delightful conversation that added a unique touch to our dinner. If you visit Jeff Ruby’s, ask for Joe Meyers—you won’t regret it. He’s the kind of server who turns a great meal into an extraordinary experience. We’ll definitely be back!
