Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous fried chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra.     The food was perfect! The steak was cooked just like medium-raw should be! The seafood was great and the dessert was excellent! We forgot how good the lava cake was. Keep up the good work. (PS: there was no reminder of my wife’s birthday.) Thank you!

    I have been coming to Jake’s since 1984 when I lived in town and when I visit… I don’t know how, but somehow, it’s still the same wonderful vintage yesterday year elegant restaurant. It has always been in the food remains superb. The service is impeccable. The Landry’s corporation has done a great job in allowing Jake’s to retain its unique and distinct personality.

    We really enjoyed the food. On the downside, you have to walk to the buffet table, and the tables were so crammed together it was hard to maneuver through the room. The noise level was really loud, so it was difficult to hold conversions. Our server was great. It's very expensive unless you can eat a lot. Parking was tough.
