- HHeatherChicago / Illinois •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOur reservation was at 8:45 pm and it was not super busy. It was a fun, relaxed ambiance and we enjoyed the live music! The food was great for the most part. I enjoyed the macadamia crusted mahi mahi. The pizzas were good. Shrimp appetizer was only so-so (but our waiter did warn us it wasn’t the best thing on the menu - my daughter just really wanted shrimp). The service was great. I wish I remembered our waiter’s name because he was really friendly and engaging and deserves a shout out. I would definitely recommend.More infoMonkeypod Kitchen - WaikikiPrice: Moderate• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Waikiki•4.6

Everything from its tasteful and modern design including well-lit and climate controlled spaces, quality and chic furniture pieces-- even a second story mezzanine/lounge! Elements such as the Chefs Counter, the insanely large and epic video wall, to their iconic and original wall of Clase Azul.. (perf for a photo op!) this space is incredibly luxurious, aesthetically pleasing and a total vibe. It's nothing like Hawaii has ever seen before. Not only is the space itself immaculate, but the food and beverage program are top tier to match. Considering my visit was during their soft open, I was not even surprised to see the place so full on a week night. The word on the street is definitely out, so be sure to make reservations! They've curated a bunch of fun, unique craft cocktails and I really enjoyed their wines by the glass selection. With out exaggeration, our group enjoyed every single dish we ordered. I appreciated that all items were sizable to share family style, so we had a great variety. I recommend coming in groups so you can try all of their amazing dishes! It seems each item was carefully perfected--very creative items with a lot of depth in flavors and great balance. My absolute fave dish so far is their ahi pizza! Thinly sliced fresh ahi, onions, jalapeño, tomato over a very crisp airy tortilla, dressed in this super tasty aioli! So light but rich without being heavy or overwhelming. This is a must try! And if for some reason you're not convinced just yet, their desserts are just as amazing too! Their matcha bread pudding is to die for, and the panna cotta was a nice lighter alternative. Ki Club also transitions to a night club on Friday and Saturday. I visited on their special pop-up the night before Thanksgiving and it was definitely the place to be!More infoKi ClubPrice: Expensive• Creative Japanese• Ala Moana•5
- DDaveVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •14 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoOk. Let's be honest, this restaurant is almost all about the view. Clean and classic steakhouse on the 36th floor of the ala Moana hotel overlooking the harbor at sunset. Moving past the ambiance, the service is attentive and very friendly. They're always there to help but don't hover over you in some awkward way. The food is overall very good. The miso butter fish was delicious. Great flavor and texture. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The dressing has a fantastic sweetness to it but does not overwhelm the fish. The steak was good but not amazing. It was well cooked to order but it needs some other flavors to bring out the meat. Maybe garlic butter or something to accentuate the steaks natural flavor profile. The mushroom risotto was excellent. Great flavor and texture. Creamed spinach was good but just a bit watery. Mashed potatoes were fine but nothing exceptional. Overall great service and a multi million dollar view served with pretty good food.More infoThe Signature Prime Steak & SeafoodPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Honolulu•4.7

Our server Asia was fantastic and we were greeted by an amazing manager by the name of Matt. They made my birthday very special by bringing me a birthday dessert And accommodated us for a reservation for Christmas Day.More infoRuth's Chris Steak House - Waikiki Beach WalkPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Waikiki•4.7
