At The Matheson's third floor, adventurous cocktails are crafted from innovative spirits and seasonal fruits, flowers, and herbs. The Mugnaini wood-fired oven kindles small plates that spark the palate (and conversations). Outdoor, open-air seating amidst planters and fire-pits elevate our buzzing garden perch. We take limited reservations 4 weeks in advance for groups up to 4 guests.     Walked around the cozy, picturesque town of Healdsburg prior to our reservation. When we walked in the front door, they greeted up by name, took our coats and offered a delicious warm tea from the kitchen window. We next walked into the dining room and felt like we’d stepped into a beautiful restaurant in Japan. The table was already decorated and prepared with the first bites, arranged on miniature rock garden. Each dish, each course was fantastic. From the immaculate presentation, to the ingredients, the taste. It was amazing. Would recommend to anyone. And only when we were leaving, did I find out that it’s also a hotel, where you can stay in Healdsburg, not only for their dinner rezzies but also for breakfast delivered to your room. I’d totally forgotten about that part. It was all amazing.

    This was perfect for a business lunch! We could spread out our reports we needed to view, and had a great meal at the same time. It was not too noisy to talk, and we loved having all of the variety of the small plates. Best ever!
