Ten is a modern Japanese tapas style restaurant, centrally located on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall. Since 2006, Ten has served a variety of both traditional and original cuisine. Chef Pei Jen Chang sources ingredients from the finest local, regional, and international sea and farm purveyors, and strives to offer fare that will appeal to the gamut of culinary palates. Our bar menu boasts an extensive wine list, an assortment of imported and local craft beers, as well as one of the largest collections of sake in Virginia. In addition, we offer a unique selection of libations, such as hand-crafted Asian inspired cocktails, assembled using inventive, authentic ingredients, or a 'Sake Flight', which allows for the subtle, intricate flavors of three selected varietals to be experienced.     Fabulous. Never disappoints. Party of four - all had a different meal and all were excellent. Crab, soup, barbeque, Nasi, Goreng. Local apple pie for dessert. Service was perfect. Highly recommend.

    Flurries he had standing restaurant. The food is beautifully prepared in general, and there are multiple treats along the way. The chef is invented, and the service is impeccable. The only tiny will give is that I ordered the tart tartin which I have had in the past and now it is kind of a deconstructed tart tartan, and I found it quite undercooked, and not nearly as delicious. Still, this is a really delightful, if expensive, Restaurant and I highly recommend it.

    Great fresh sushi. Nice wine by the glass selection. We sat in Back section with tables very close together and it was extremely noisy. Hard to hear each other talk across the table. Our server was great. Overall it would be five star if it wasn’t for the noise and the crowding of the back room.

    We had a wonderful dinner, service was timely and attentive, not intrusive. Every staff member we met was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We’ve gone to this restaurant many times over the last 20+ years, and never been disappointed.
