In 1983, after the success of La Calle Doce, Oscar and Laura Sanchez wanted to open another restaurant but they didn’t want to duplicate their previous success nor did they want to open just another Tex-Mex restaurant. Oscar wanted something that wasn’t found in Dallas, something that reminded him of home. Since both Oscar and Laura are from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon in Northern Mexico, they decided to open a restaurant that specialized in Comida Norteño (northern food) and Tex-Mex featuring dishes such as cabrito, mollejas, and asado de puerco. Today El Ranchito is known for it’s authentic Mexican food, freshly made tortillas and festive atmosphere where mariachis play daily. These elements – the food, the music and the friendly staff – have helped El Ranchito achieve it’s ultimate goal of creating an atmosphere where the customer feels as if they are back home in Monterrey.

Our wine list is curated by Sommelier/Owner Dilek Caner, who is currently the only Master of Wine in Texas. For the last twenty years, Dilek has trained many sommeliers and wine directors in New York City and Dallas. We are open from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Saturdays. During these hours, we offer a rotating selection of 16 by-the-glass options available in 1 oz, 3 oz, or 5 oz pours and serve a bar menu. We also offer a seasonal six-course dinner with optional wine pairings on Saturdays at 6:30 pm.     We had a wonderful meal at Beatrice. The food was delicious … expertly prepared and seasoned. We enjoyed the Cajun eggrolls, bread basket and Beatrice salad for starters. Entrees consisted of redfish special, seafood linguini Alfredo and catfish/fried chicken combo and we finished with a shared pumpkin cheesecake which had a pumpkin spice cake base with a cheesecake topping. Simply delightful! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. We can’t wait to return!!

    Great restaurant. Finally tried something new, and was kinda bummed. Migas are not a bowl of wet corn chips. Was kind of like a slop. Will be back, we love the pancakes and pork belly. We will give some other dishes a try as well. Haven’t been for dinner in a while, but dinner is always good as well. Thanks!

    Great service and food. Beautiful old building. Had hummus eggplant and cheese appetizers. Branzino entre. All great. Didn't care much for the pastacio cheesecake but will return to try some of the other desserts.

    I recently celebrated my birthday dinner at Bob's as I do every year, and it was an incredible experience! The ambiance was perfect for my special occasion, and the staff went above and beyond to make the evening memorable. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, just as I like it. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and the service was impeccable.
