Restaurants near Brightleaf Square

We arrived on time and table was waiting for us. A large table was next to us so we were trapped in place but it was fine. Wait staff could get through the maze and it was nice to see the place crowded. We started with mezze platter- taziki was amazing with a lemon reduction and tons of fresh dill. We got the eggplant and carrot salad too. Both amazing and try carrot salad - it was better than imagined. Nothing was overly garlic and everything was balanced and dressed perfectly. Amazing “pita” was warm thin and more like naan meets warm bread. We split cauliflower and the amazing Mac and cheese side. Place looked bright, casual and comfortable. The staff was attentive and the food was amazing so run to nikos. They take reservations too!

THIS WAS THE BEST PLACE I HAVE BEEN TO IN THE RDU! I will come back again and again. We had a blast my date and I we had broiled oysters, banana pudding, Sea Bass over Crawfish Etouffee ( however you spell it) the drinks amazingggggg, salads impeccable! I will be back to try more. If you have never been to NOLA this is your appetizer to go!

Great option for three and four course traditional Italian meal with a date or group. Knowledgeable staff. Maggie was helpful with both the food and wine menu. Open air kitchen makes for an aromatic environment, tonight was brown butter sage.

I generally don’t write reviews, but JuJu Durham deserves all the stars and praise. If I could have eaten everything on the menu, I would have! My partner and I enjoyed the sizzling sisig with bing bread, drunken noodles, bomb a** shrimp, and the bao donuts. When I tell you that we were savoring every bite, I am not lying. Everything was cooked to perfect and came out at the perfect time from meal to meal. The hostess and waitress were very attentive — waters were never empty, we weren’t waiting forever to order, etc. My only comment was that it was pretty loud in the restaurant when it gets busy, so if you want something intimate maybe Juju is not for you. Overall, 10/10. We will definitely be coming back again and again.
