   Service was what you walk away with remembering. Food selection was lunch specific but everyone in party had something different.

   Our experience and service was top notch at La Taverne. We ordered the bone in ribeye and 6 oz tenderloin with baked potato accompaniment with a glass of red wine. All steaks were made to our preferred doneness request. We also had a decadent chocolate mouse cake to finish.

   I've been coming to the Broadmoor for 27 years. I don't know what's changed but the food was terrible My steak was tough and tasteless it was some kind of butter on top of it that had an awful texture and taste. The very expensive red Cabernet that I ordered was bitter and undrinkable The server was polite but that's all. The assistant manager was gracious and very kind. But I don't know what's happened to food at the Broadmoor. The dining room was completely empty. Maybe that's just the day. This is become a place for conventions food for guests seems to have lost a lot of its value it's a place to meet and have a beer up by the bar or a hamburger. The buffets are excellent but the tavern food quality has just gone off a cliff.
