Stroll along 17th St., between Lighthouse and Laurel and you will find one of the Peninsula’s favorite spots, La Mia Cucina. This little jewel, with its fresh ambiance and tantalizing menu, is popular with everyone. The colorful European advertising posters that enliven the walls, are “originals, not reproductions.” That phrase is accurate in describing La Mia Cucina itself. From the comfortable linen white decor, accented beautifully by those turn-of-the-century posters, to the hand-crafted entrees and desserts, everything about La Mia Cucina says fresh and original. Owner Michael’s specialty, his ravioli dishes, are a renowned local favorite, and for good reason. They are hand made, with all the care that only a lifetime of creative food combining can bring. In addition to pasta, La Mia Cucina is known for it's fresh fish and meat specials. The desserts are made in-house by his wife Paula and daughter Michaela, and the service is personal and inviting.

Mía Cucina is a place we visit every single year on our yearly trip to Carmel. The servers are amazing and attentive, the chef always comes out to ask about our food. The food is always amazing. The experience is always consistently outstanding. We look forward to it every year.

Very relaxing evening at La Mia Cucina.....started with a warm greeting from the hostess and continued with the friendly and attentive staff. All the homemade pastas sounded great but ordered the veal masala instaed...it was a wise choice......looking forward to a return visit!

Mia Cucina is our go to restaurant for special occasions. The owners Michael and Paula are amazing hosts and Giovani, our server, is always at the top of his game. We would recommend Mia Cucina for anyone looking for a great dining experience.

We had a wonderful dinner at La Mia Cucina. Service was outstanding - attentive without being disruptive. Evidently, Friday night is Lasagna night, which is not on the menu. We were both going to order that but our waiter quickly informed us that they were sold out! It is extremely popular with locals of which there were many having dinner here that night. We changed our selections and they were delicious.

Cozy ambiance with outstanding food and great service. Homemade fresh pastas cooked with not overwhelming amount of spices. Owner and chef Michael dropped by every table to ask about the food. Nice personal touch!
