   La Fia was the best meal I have had in months. We took our son and his wife who raved about their pasta, appetizers and entree. Great from beginning to end.

   We had the octopus appetizer which was perfectly cooked. We always try octopus whenever we see it. It’s easy to over cook. This was perfectly tender. The gnocchi was light as a cloud and sautéed with capers and was absolutely delicious. The rockfish was also very good and a generous serving. We finished with the sweet potato cake topped with bruleed meringue and a nice scoop of ice cream. Our server Lauren was attentive and knowledgeable about the ingredients of every dish. A little pricey, but everything was excellent. We would definitely come back for a special occasion.

   Celebrated my son’s birthday. Everything we had was amazing - especially the duck leg, pork belly, squid ink pasta, and steak. Our waitress Natasha was very attentive and remembered us from a past dining experience. This is one of our favorite restaurants and we will definitely go back.

   Lunch was a real treat. My Cobb was huge. Had the cauliflower with Romarsco sauce too. Wonderful! My friend had the shrimp salad and loved it.

   Table was not ready when we arrived, had to wait around 20 minutes, food took quite a lot of time to arrive. Other than that it was great

   We have been coming here for the past 10 yrs to this fabulous bistro. The cheeseboard and little gem salad were excellent and were enough for two. We each had the rockfish which was also yummy. I love the cozy atmosphere and the waitstaff are very friendly and attentive.

   We went on a weekday night for my wife's early birthday celebration with our sons and were nicely impressed with the ambiance, excellent service, and delicious homemade and fresh food and pasta. The wine list is varied enough to find something good everyone enjoys easily. I chose Verdicchio Castelli Di Jesi DOC this time, which perfectly matched the Spanish Octopus and Squid ink Pasta. We are happy that the Wilmington, DE, downtown area is recovering and upgrading dining options and that this gem is not that far from home.
