Travel down historic Market Street towards the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware and you will find La Fia Bistro. La Fia is an intimate dinner destination in a historic building located on the corner of 5th and Market. Chef Dwain Kalup's menu utlizes carefully sourced ingredients reflecting the seasons, local region and local farms. The menu at La Fia features small plates, pastas and creative entrees. Our cheese and charcuterie is one of a kind and not to be missed!

Due to the small size of our restaurant we allow 2 hours for guests to enjoy their dining experience. If you feel you need more time please reach out to us directly.

    As usual we had a wonderful dinner at LaFia…a perfect way to welcome in the new year. Each course of the prix fixe dinner was delicious and in some cases even remarkable. The service was friendly and accomplished…the ambiance cordial and welcoming. 2025 started off on just the right note thanks to LaFia.

    We have been to LaFia many times and just love it! The food is always exceptional and the service outstanding. The menu always offers creative choices and portion size is optimal. We want to dine when La Fia offered a set menu so we went New Years Eve. The menu choices were incredible and the food delicious. Our waiter, Diego was professional, knowledgeable and kind. He answered all of our questions and knew the wine selection and made suggestions. We will return to try out more exceptional food and will look for Diego! Karen and Scott Hopkins

    As usual, La Fia did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. It was a first visit for my sister, who is from out of state. She commented on the interesting architecture of the building and the artwork displayed. We look forward to our next visit to La Fia.

    We enjoyed the food greatly as always. There was only one waitress (for 30+ patrons) in this evening. With this caution, I felt the lady did an excellent job with her workload. We were not neglected. However, the lady had to rush One person in our party has food allergies. The lady managed it very well. We are grateful.

    We recently came for a date night and had a fantastic dining experience. The food was outstanding (eggplant milanese, wagyu beef tartare, bucatini alla gricia, pappardelle, and a chocolate hazelnut entremet to end the meal). It was intimate enough that I could carry on a conversation with my husband quietly but also loud enough that if we wanted to people watch and ear hustle the diners around us for our own entertainment we could, basically the best of both worlds. We will be back!

    Remains one of my favorite restaurants. The food, the service and the ambiance cannot be beat. This is my go-to event (romantic first dates, holidays, celebrations) restaurant.
