   Restaurant reservations were running on time. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Wait staff was great. Oh, the food. Well, as we were leaving we were discussing when we might be able to visit again. Parking is an issue so get there before your reservation time.

   Our server was excellent. I wish I can remeber her name. The food was good. Drinks were overpriced. I didn't apprieciate the fact that they charge a $3/person cake cutting fee if you bring in your own cake. I even called the day before and asked details and they never mentioned that charge.

   I had the ribs, they were good but not as good as gale street inn. Son had the beef ribs and loved them. Other son had the strip steak, said it was very good. Wife had smashed chicken also enjoyed it. Beer wasn't as cold as i like it.

   My wife and I eat here at least once a month and found tonight was a bit disappointing. I order skirt steak med and it came out rare and it was barely warm. $42.95 it should be perfect. When I ordered, I told waiter no butter on bake which happened but I also asked for a couple sour cream which didn’t happen and I received no steak knife. My wife didn’t receive one either with her baked chicken. Service is usually excellent and tonight it was mediocre. I didn’t realize and it is noted that a 3 % surcharge will be charged. I’ve had guests with us as well and never noticed until tonight. Covid is over and we feel we will no longer pay surcharges. Grocery stores and gas stations and clothing store don’t give us 3% back and we pay higher prices. Further $42.95 for I believe an 8oz skirt steak is premium pricing as it is. In fact I buy my steak from a Texas ranch and don’t pay $42.95. So in summer, usually great service, but tonight mediocre . Get rid of the surcharge. And runners, remember to bring items ordered and needed to eat the meal delivered.

    My wife and I have been dining at L Woods for years. It’s a restaurant where we usually celebrate events in our lives and the food, staff, and atmosphere never disappoints. I especially love the their Prime Rib, chicken wings, chicken noodle soup, strip steak and the ribs!
