For many years, the Kula Lodge has been a favorite for both visitors and Kama'aina alike for delicious cuisine and breathtaking views of Maui. Perched high on the slopes of Haleakala with a 180 degree view of Maui, the Kula Lodge and Restaurant is a comfortable and homey place to relax, especially on your way down from the sunrise or sunset at the crater. It is situated on 4 lovely acres and not only has a stunning botanical garden, it has the only full-service bar and live music in Kula, along with a wine cave/private dining room for special dinners/events.

The restaurant seats up to 160 guests, making it ideal for weddings and special events. The Kula Lodge outdoor Garden Terrace features a brick wood-burning pizza oven and an open view of south, central and the Maui mountains. The sunset views are absolutely phenomenal!

Kula Lodge & Restaurant is open 7 days a week for Brunch, Happy Hour and Dinner. There is also a retail shop and 5 hotel rooms on property. Call for more info!

    The Kula Lodge really showed up with community support after the fire. Since then I have experienced steady progress of the restaurant. The site is near historic. Well maintained, inviting, and featuring local artist perspectives of Kula, Maui, Hawaii. The pizza oven, outside tables and casual, tasty pizzas are delightful. The grand bi coastal view is, by itself, a reason to visit. Service people are now, universally, from greeting to table refresh, neighbors you want to see more often. The restaurant menu has advanced in variety of offerings, presentation and taste. I enjoyed the lamb when it appeared as a special months ago. I am delighted to see it as a regular on the menu. I hope to see the chop a little more and the sauce a little less as the dining experience continues to develop. The $50 entree price point, recently introduced-carries a reasonable expectation of superior performance. For me, a little lighter touch on the sauce (for a sauce loving guy) would be great. I love the place, and always bring my visiting guests for the experience. When I have no guests I still come to feel at home.

    We go to Kula Lodge regularly and always sit in the bar area. Although usually full on a Friday evening it’s always a pleasant experience where we see friends and enjoy good food. Last night however was a nightmare because a large party ( for the bar) of 4 women and 4 children under the age of 5 who were in there. The noise that was created from them and the children running around made our dinner impossible to enjoy. I do not think that happy hour in a bar setting is a suitable place for such young children and hope that Kula Lodge will be more sensitive to their other patrons and NOT BOOK a group into the bar area such as the one last night.

    Not good! Quiche was burnt, had to send it back. Kids were running around, loud which made it not pleasant. Very expensive for the food quality. Would not eat here again. Ambience was nice if parents didn’t let their kids run around and let others eat their food in peace. It’s not a playground

    Well the location, views, waiter and facilities were great. But the food and cocktails were very low quality. For a $200 meal I expect a great meal and at least an ok drink. We were sadly disappointed in the meal. April 8, 2025.

    Kula Lodge is a sentimental favorite when we are in town and head up country. Beautiful views in a classic upcountry setting, with a lovely menu that features several delicious gluten free treats.
