   Reservation 8:30pm and was seated right away. Waiter warned us that with the holiday, that the kitchen and bar was really backed up and would take a while. Ordered right away. Beverages came right out but food came out at almost 10pm. Food was meh. Server checked in on us often and apologized non stop for the slow kitchen. We sat outside. Enjoyed the gorgeous night and time together and fortunately we weren’t starving so it didn’t cause any real distress. Was a good crowd. Valentine’s Day dinner but shocked the kitchen was so overwhelmed. If we had been hangry the experience would have ruined our date night. Not sure I’d go back for those reasons. But we had a great night nonetheless. 💓

   Not exaggerating—it took 90 minutes for the food to be served. Food tasted fine, but $33 for two fried chicken patties? No bread—no salad at this price. Positive was our server. Good guy.

   I had a reservation for 8:15pm. When we got there the host said we have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for our reservation because the call center overbooked reservations. We ended up sitting at the bar. We had to wait a long time for our drinks and food, the bartender forgot to put our order in the system . I ordered the Steak Fried Rice they served without the scallions and the special sauce. We had a terrible experience, not coming back to Kona Grill in Sarasota.

   Terrible experience! I had a reservation for 8:00 PM, but we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated, even though there were plenty of empty tables. Then, our waitress took forever to come to our table, but we tried to be patient. Since it was taking so long, we decided to order everything at once—drinks and food—to avoid further delays. It didn’t help at all! We waited 40 minutes just for our drinks and almost an hour and a half for our food. The reservation was useless because our food didn’t arrive until almost 10:30 PM—over two hours later! I was beyond frustrated. The waitress barely checked on us, and other tables around us were experiencing the same issue. Many people simply left instead of waiting. The restaurant was not busy, so there was no excuse for such slow service. We spoke to the manager, and all they offered was one free drink. After waiting an hour and a half for our food, we finally got our dishes, which were ridiculously overpriced. The taste wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t great either, and the presentation was terrible—way too simple for what we paid. A $50 dish for this nonsense? I do not recommend this place. Horrible experience, not worth your time or money! Never coming back! 😡😡😡

   Our valentines dinner was ruined by the terrible service. I never got my food I was waiting an hour to get seated even though we had reservations. I waited an hour and a half for our food to come out and it never did so me and my partner had to leave. Our server didn’t introduce himself to us so we didn’t even know his name. Server never kept up with attending us (never gave us refills on our drinks). Overall everything was a bad first experience and we won’t be coming back.

   Our experience at this place was awful, as soon as we arrived they said that it doesn’t matter if you have a reservation they were going to sit us when they had a table which was until 30 min later. Then we order like at 8:30pm and we were starving at this point and then we waited and waited and ask for our food and no one seem to be able to tell us when our food was going to be ready and at this point is 9:40pm one our later. We ask for the manager and she comes and said that our food wouldn’t be ready until 20 more min if she makes them take them out sooner. So we decided to leave at this point she said it was ok to leave, this was Valentine’s Day, our reservation was at 7:45pm and we left at 9:50pm without our food. That was the worst experience whatsoever. Terrible service for sure.

   We made a reservation and they said they sete an hour behind and they were going to call is but never did. We went to another restaurant .

   I have to say I am very disappointed in our overall experience at this restaurant. We had reservations for 7:30, didn’t get seated until 8:30. Didn’t get our food until 9:45 and the food was over cooked and under seasoned and the bill was $345. I will never go back to this place again. The poor waitress kept apologizing, it wasn’t her fault. It truly was poor management. They didn’t have enough cooks for the holiday. The food would be sitting for over 30 minutes waiting to be served. Many tables were complaining and people got up and left.

    We had a reservation for Valentines Day and we're given a hour wait time. We went to eat at Seasons 52 and didn't get the call for our reservation from Kona until we were already eating. We like the food at this place, but I surely wouldn't go there on a big holiday event. Their kitchen can't keep up.
