We were pleasantly surprised at this beautiful venue inside the Omni hotel. Most hotel breakfast establishments are rather cold and industrial. This restaurant is bright , warm , and cozy feeling . We had waffles and pancakes with a side of bacon , all were delicious. We actually ate here twice during our visit on business, and on both occasions had wonderful servers . The food came out quickly. They were pleasant and engaged in just the right amount of conversation. We highly recommend for breakfast if you’re at the hotel.

Our favorite breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Nashville. Incredibly accommodating for gluten allergies.

A disappointing experience. I brought my family of 4 to Kitchen Notes for the brunch buffet due to great reviews but we were let down from the start. It took almost 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us after being seated. Even as I watched 3 women standing around at the host stand and 2 men in sport coats and ear prices standing within a few yards of us, any of whine should have been aware of what was happening, our table and others continued not to be greeted or provided with coffee. Eventually one of the table cleaners (not a server—obvious from her rubber gloves) took it upon herself to get coffee and water for us, and when she did, a woman at the next table called or to also request coffee. We weren’t the only table waiting so long. Eventually a server came out and she was very nice. The food was good but not worth the long wait, which continued while waiting for someone to bring the check/retrieve the credit card/return the card. The waffle was excellent and so were the grits. The eggs to order were good. I was looking forward to trying some juices but I didn’t want so long to wait to receive any of them.

4/5 stars. Very good overall. Asked on line if our reservation was a special occasion-it was my boyfriend’s birthday. It was also printed on our ticket that was placed on our table. No mention of it to my boyfriend or anything special made specifically for the occasion.
