Please note; we only take reservations up to one week in advance.

With Broadway's staggered start times, things get tricky, so if you're desired time is unavailable online, please give us a call, as we hold a certain number of tables for phone reservations only. For parties of six or more, please call the restaurant directly.

Since 1965, Joe Allen has been a quintessential New York restaurant serving a classic American menu in the heart of the Theater District. Just two blocks from Times Square, it has been a favorite of Broadway performers, locals, and tourists for almost 50 years.

We begin taking reservations seven days in advance starting at midnight online and at 11 a.m. over the phone.

Because of staggered theatre times we can only guarantee reservations made online for one-and-a-half hours for parties of two, and two hours for parties of three or more.

For reservations after theatre, please check your show's running time at http://joeallenrestaurant.com/show_info

Warm, cozy place that feels like home. Good menu, good food. Service was excellent. The burger was way undercooked but we sent it back and they were happy to cook some more. Prices are high, a bit out of whack for the menu they offer. .

We went following a Saturday matinee. Perfect atmosphere for us. Felt low key, comfortable and like a genuine neighborhood place. Food and service were both excellent. Menu is well rounded and offers choices for everyone. Don’t think twice.

I go to Joe Allen’s all the time. My favorite Broadway haunt. But they sat our table of 4 next to the waiters station and it was uncomfortably bustling and noisy.

I love going to Joe Allen's. The food was delicious and the cocktails sublime. What made it all even better was the service. From the moment we walked in the door we were made welcome and cared for. I've been going for years and am always happy to be there.

Joe Allen has been my go-to restaurant in Manhattan for years - primarily because I lived a few blocks away, it has solid “basic” food and great service. While it’s not exactly going to be a foodie experience, that’s not a bad thing. This visit was once again a positive experience. If you’re a visitor to NYC and off to the theater, you can’t do better in my opinion as there’s also a lot of history here too.
