   The waiter we had was told that I was deaf in one hear and hard of hearing in the other... after I asked him to repeat himself 3 times, he responded, maybe I can talk to someone next to me and they could tell me what was said. My steak was supposed to be cooked medium rare.. it came out with NO pink.. it was med well... I asked to have it redone. I was told it would take about 30 minutes to get another one... I wasn't happy. He recommended that I just eat that one so I would not have to wait to eat with my guests... a dinner that was $280 should have a much better outcome than we had....

   Cold plate… mildly warm food… food delicious.. noise unbearable couldn’t even talk at our table. Waitress poor at best

   The noise level is Beyond!!! Could NOT hear the person sitting directly in front of me without SHOUTING. Also, the music choice is Raucous with the same boom.boom.boom beat thruout the evening. The food is tasty But expensive as are the cocktails. The restaurant is Huge which does Not help the noise level. There does Not seem to be any sound barriers. This was a SUNDAY NIGHT at 5pm.....OMG

   It’s a very nice place in a great location. The service is good and very friendly. The food is ok but not worth the price.

   Consistently top percentile for an enjoyable dining experience among friends. I have been loving Javier’s since they were located in Laguna Beach, and what seems like almost 2 decades at its current location in Crystal Coves’s Promenade, Newport Coast. In fact, I believe it gets better each year. From staff, to food 🍲 🍱 🥘 selections, to ambiance… we always leave happy. 😊 Definitely recommend! Enjoy 😋

   We hadn’t been to Javier’s since they reopened. Boy was it worth the wait! The ambiance, food and service was amazing. I am so glad that they are back on OpenTable too!

   We got there 5 minutes before our reservation. They said they would text and call when our table was ready. We waited 20 minutes before we asked what was going on. They said they had been texting us, yet we were only 10 feet away from them and did not receive any texts. Either that was a lie, or their system was not working properly. Either way, it was not a great way to start the night. The room was loud, but that's fine. The food was good, but I expected better for the price. I got the taco and enchilada plate.

   Went there for lunch- was packed. Room is beautiful- we ate indoors. All the food was excellent- I had chopped salad with shrimp- more than enough shrimp and perfectly sized salad. Excellent dressing. Others at the table loved their food- did not have cocktails but ice tea was good. No room for dessert. Service was a little slow but the place was crowded. Would return.
