Executive Chef, Alex McPhail has returned to his hometown after 6 years studying under some of the finest chefs in the industry in New Orleans. Taking culinary tips he picked up at Commander’s Palace, Restaurant August & the Roosevelt Hotel, Alex has created a dining environment unlike any other nearby.

    Once again, Iron knocked it out of the park. We started with the black garlic gnocchi escargot, which was excellent as always. My wife went with the lamb. Cooked perfectly and excellent flavor. I tried something different in the country fried venison with yukon gold mashed and collards. Might just be the best southern staple turned into fine dining I've ever experienced. In short, another outstanding meal with exception service from Iron.

    We loved our First Dibs experience where the selected menu is shared and paired with sips of wine for each of the three courses. Amber described each course perfectly and served the meal at a leisurely pace. We can’t wait to come back!

    The food was delicious as always and the service was terrific. We enjoyed sitting at the Chef’s table and watching all the action in the kitchen as well as meeting other foodies sitting next to us!
