Ida Claire is a funky, southern influenced restaurant & bar open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is notched up southern but has influences from different regions. You’ll most likely see dishes you’ve heard of before but with little twists here and there.

Our sandwiches will be served on biscuits & we’ll have chicken & waffles on every menu. Brunch is obviously southern & will be a big part of what we do. The drinks are takes on classics like the Mint Julep but revved up & including a lot of house made ingredients.

The décor has a southern influence with antebellum charm & elegant polish, stated most clearly in our reworked air stream trailer parked in the garden for VIP reservations. The whole restaurant will feel like a quirky southern aristocrat’s home…just not exactly what you might think.

    First experience at Ida Claire was 4*. Southern/New Orleans/Low Country food was tasty, large servings, ambience was comfortable, eclectic decor invited conversation. One drawback was no apple juice on the menu, a kids staple, and no turkey or chicken sausage alternative offering for pork. Will dine here again.

    Gumbo:excellent Shrimp and grits: excellent Ancient grains salad: excellent This is a very good place, but the four times we have been there, it has been extremely noisy. I doubt the restaurant can do much about that, but it does make for a less than ideal experience.

    We come here often and it is always a pleasure. This last occasion, the food needed salt which has never been an issue. I will definitely return.

    All the food we had was good. Our server Serena was amazing. So cheerful and welcoming. We had a great Chriatmas Eve dinner. The ambiance was classy southern which I love. I'll be back to try the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits!

    I went for breakfast on Christmas Eve morning. Ida Clair is new to the breakfast thing and it shows a little. Service was a little slow and forgetful. But the food truly was very good. They did not offer chicken and waffles where I think this restaurant is known for their chicken strips.
