   Nous avons pris homard: caoutchouc/ crabe cake 🫤 La cuisson des steak trop cuit Le maître du resto nous a enlevé les 2 menus principaux de la facture Très dispendieux Nous sommes des habitué de grands restaurants au Québec où nos factures peuvent s’élever rapidement mais la qualité est la Décevant Serveur très compréhensif 😊

   To start Our server was very polite and friendly, but he did forget to bring the appetizer we ordered. Since our steaks came out we decided to cancel the appetizer at that point. My daughter and I had the bone in ribeye. Both steaks were full of gristle and extremely difficult to cut. Flavour was ok and the cook was fine but most of the steak was not edible. When the waiter came to clear the table he asked if he could take my plate as there was still a fair amount of uneaten steak. I told him he could take the plate because that part of the steak is full of gristle and not edible. I expected he would tell the manager about that but he just went on like i never mentioned it. I do know he heard me as he had made a facial reaction when I mention it. The bake potato was literally plain baked and they toss some sour cream and tiny bit of bacon and chives. My daughter had mashed potatoes. They were lukewarm and bland. At the end of the meal we had espresso. No sugar was brought to the table. By the time the waiter came around the coffee had cooled . I honestly can say being at hys in the past in Toronto that this meal was not anywhere close to the HY’s experience I have had in the past. When you pay $100 a steak you should get a quality cut of meat. I have had better cuts of meat from Costco. This was an extremely disappointing meal and very disappointing that our server didn’t acknowledge our issue with the steaks to the manager. I didn’t bother asking for a manager as I wanted to see if the server would do their job. If you read other reviews here that out negative they are very accurate. I have had much better steaks at the keg. Won’t be returning here. HY’s management if you want to comp my daughter and I a meal in Toronto then I will give you another opportunity but if not, this was my last visit. Plenty other places to get a good steak for less then $100

   Hy’s is Fantastic. Amazing food. Stellar service by our server Jason. Nice ambiance. Well-founded reputation as Whistler’s premier steakhouse. Highly recommended. Will be back!

   Hy's Whistler made us a great table side Caesar salad and the cheese toast was delicious. Main courses were served as ordered and piping hot. The steaks were perfect but the scallops and prawns could have used some more sauce. It's a classic steakhouse serving the classics really well, but we feel that the decor is dated and the TVs have to go.

   Starting when you walk through the door, the decor was on point with any of the best steakhouses I’ve been to. The hostess made us feel very welcome and checked our winter coats for us. We were sat at a cozy window table with ample lighting for my 54 year old eyes to read the menu. Erinne, our waitress, was from Ireland and was very friendly yet professional, and explained all of the specials of the day (with that awesome Irish accent). Great wine selection, and their famous cheese toast was a must have if you aren’t watching carbs. My better half had the Filet a la Hy’s and said it was one of the best steak dishes she’s ever had. I had the 8 ounce filet, and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. We had no room for dessert, but I will be coming back for the bananas foster at some point. While pricing was on par with the high end steakhouse market, this was probably the best overall value that I’ve ever had. I highly recommend you give Hy’s a try… and ask for Erinne (pronounced Erin)!

   Unfortunately, they didn’t have any bone in cuts to try so we were limited to choose between filet and NY strip; My filet wasn’t great. Sides and apps were good but the cacio e pepe pasta was just a peppery mac and cheese.

    A very high quality Canadian steakhouse, but a bit overpriced. Service was excellent. The medium rate steak was too much on the medium side, but still great. The main room was very noisy. Worth doing for a celebratory night out.
