   The experience at Hy's was excellent from start to finish. The valet, the greeting hostess, Ms. Grace's table team, especially Cameron who is clearly a young gentleman to be noted. Each member of our table team was happy, respectful and helpful at every point of our visit. From the moment we walked in the door the air was filled with delicious scents of the the various dishes on each of the tables. Just walking through Hy's dining room was a wonderful aromatic experience. The food was outstanding. As was the presentation of each dish. The ambience of Hy's is both beautiful and classy. The decor shows great thought went into its gathering and elegant arrangement. To say that we had a wonderful time it's an understatement of considerable proportions. My family and I will happily return to Hy's in the future!

   Wonderful place. Seafood tower and steaks fantastic, drinks made perfectly. Service top notch. Dress code a little funny. Need a collared Shirt but can wear gym shorts and sneakers? Pricing similar to upscale steak restaurants. Will definitely be back with a collared shirt😎

   Hy’s is the best steakhouses on Oahu! It’s been there as long as I can remember. Everything from their wine selection, caesar salad/dessert table service, food quality to their ambience are top notch and in sync. The steaks were done cooked to the perfection of medium rare and it was excellent! I was also impressed with the valet service. Didn’t have to give them my ticket for my car to arrive and appeared right in front of me! Always a wonderful experience and definitely my go to’s to have a nice meal. Thank you very much!

   The food and service was excellent. Best French onion soup ever. The lobster bisque was exceptional.

   Hy's has always been my favorite place to eat in Waikiki. Fantastic service and food, beautiful ambiance and a strict dress code. Highly recommend.

   We visited Hy's Steakhouse during our honeymoon, hoping for a special dinner, but it turned out to be a disappointing experience. The food was just okay—nothing particularly memorable. However, the real issue was the service. While the food came out quickly, the staff were incredibly rude and unfriendly. There was no sense of genuine care or hospitality, and their lack of basic courtesy left a bad impression. What was supposed to be a celebration turned into a frustrating evening. If you’re looking to create special memories, I’d recommend choosing somewhere else.

   Great ambience. Great service. We shared the filet mignon, and it was very good, but was over-smoked (very, very smoky, the smokiest meat I've ever eaten). We loved the lychee non-alcoholic drink, the crab cake, the fois gras, and the bananas foster dessert! Great service!

   William, thank you for sharing your experience! We apologize for your meat being "over-smoked." We cook all of our steaks on an open fire using Kiawe wood (Hawaiian Mesquite). Understanding that some may not prefer this, we have an exquisite Beef Wellington prepared off the grill, or we'd be happy to accommodate a different cooking method upon your next visit.     I normally order the half rack but our Captain, Brett, let me know about a special. I think it was called a Sher ribeye and he described it as somewhere between USDA Prime and Wagyu. I tried it and it was, without a doubt, the best steak I have ever had! The dining room was quite busy and Brett was all over the place but, as usual, he provided amazing service. I noticed that even from the far side of the dining room, he is aware of what is going on and what is needed at every one of the tables he was overseeing. Outstanding professionalism!
